International Women's Day

မတ္လ ၈ရက္က အျပည္ျပည္ဆိုုင္ရာ အမ်ိဳးသမီးမ်ားေန႔ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ ျမန္မာႏိုုင္ငံတြင္း အမ်ဳိးသမီးမ်ားနဲ႕သက္ဆိုုင္တဲ့ အခ်က္အလက္တခ်ိဳ႕ကိုု မ ွ်ေ၀လိုုက္ပါတယ္။ Today is International Women’s Day. We would like to share some of the facts related to Myanmar women.

♀️ျမန္မာႏိုုင္ငံလူဦးေရအားလံုုးရဲ႕၅၂ ရာခိုုင္ႏႈန္းက အမ်ိဳးသမီးေတြျဖစ္တယ္။ အဲဒီထဲက ၂၆ရာခိုုင္ႏႈန္းက ၁၄ႏွစ္ေအာက္ျဖစ္ၿပီး ၄၃ ရာခိုုင္ႏႈန္းက ၂၅-၅၄ ႏွစ္ၾကားျဖစ္တယ္။ ♀️Women make up 52% of Myanmar’s population. Of that proportion, 26% is under 14 years old and 43% is between 25-54 years.

♀️အမ်ိဳးသမီးလူဦးေရရဲ႕ ၄.၈ ရာခိုုင္ႏႈန္းက မသန္စြမ္းမႈတစ္ခုုခုု ခံစားေနရပါတယ္။ ♀️4.8% of women population is living with a form of disability.

♀️အလုုပ္လုုပ္ကိုုင္ႏိုုင္သည့္ အသက္အရြယ္ေရာက္ အမ်ိဳးသား ၁၀၀မွာ အမ်ိဳးသမီး ၆၄.၂ ေယာက္က အလုုပ္အကိုုင္ရွိတယ္။ အလုုပ္ရွိေသာ အမ်ိဳးသမီးမ်ားရဲ႕ ၃၃.၈ ရာခိုုင္ႏႈန္းက မိသားစုုလုုပ္ငန္းမွာ လုုပ္ေနတယ္။ ♀️Ratio of female to male labour force participation rate is 64.2 percent. Of the employed women, 33.8% is contributing as family workers.

♀️အမ်ိဳးသမီးေတြ ပထမဦးဆံုုး အိမ္ေထာင္ျပဳက်တဲ့ အသက္ (အလယ္မွတ္)က ၂၂.၁ ျဖစ္တယ္။ ♀️Median age for first marriage for Myanmar women is 22.1 year old.

♀️ကေလးအရွင္ေမြး ၁သိန္းမွာ မိခင္ ၁၇၈ေယာက္က အသက္ဆံုုးရႈံးမႈျဖစ္ရတယ္။ ♀️Maternal mortality ratio is 178 per 100,000 live births.

♀️အိမ္ေထာင္ရွိအမ်ိဳးသမီး (၁၅-၄၉ ႏွစ္) ထဲက ၁၆.၂ ရာခိုုင္ႏႈန္းက သားဆက္ျခားဖိုု႔နည္းလမ္းတစ္ခုုုခုု လက္လွမ္းမွီမႈမရွိေသးပါ။ ♀️Unmet need for contraception is 16.2% for married women between the age of 15-49.

♀️ျငိမ္းခ်မ္းေရးျဖစ္စဥ္မွာ အမ်ိဳးသမီး ၆၇၄ ကပါ၀င္ပံ့ပိုုးေနတယ္။ ♀️Number of women participating and supporting in the peace process is 674.

♀️ျပည္ေထာင္စုုလႊတ္ေတာ္ရဲ႕ အမတ္ေပါင္း ၆၅၇မွာ အေယာက္ ၇၀ က အမ်ိဳးသမီးျဖစ္တယ္။ ♀️Out of 657 lower and upper house Hluttaw MPs combined, only 70 are women.
